JFD Community Mental Health Program

Initial crisis care is an important first step in the continuum of mental health care. Crisis First Aid for Paramedics was developed within the JFD and has been used with behavioral patients, traumatic stress sufferers, and first responders since 2022.

One key to a successful mental health program is using existing community resources to provide needed care. 

The JFD Mental Health Program provides cost-free mental health care to all residents of the City of Joliet through Thriveworks Counseling.
